Nevis Bluff Central Otago Chardonnay 2022

"Elegant and complex, the fragrant bouquet shows ripe stone fruit, mango, citrus peel, oatmeal and roasted hazelnut aromas, followed by a beautifully weighted palate displaying creamy texture backed by well-pitched acidity. Splendidly harmonious with a lengthy refined finish. At its best: now to 2030" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Dec 2023

Loquat, lemon meringue, brioche and orange zest aromatics give way to a mineral derived wine showing elegance and drive with a long persistent finish.

Approximately 3500 vines per hectare with 1.2kg per vine, hand selected, hand harvested and hand sorted. Sourced from 20yr old vines.

Hand harvested in April at around 4 tonnes per hectare. The grapes were whole bunch pressed with a long fermentation of 12 months with lees. 12.5% new oak, remainder in aged French barrique.
